Regional Teacher Trainer

C2 teachers are the foundation of our business and have the most direct impact in helping our students move closer to achieving their academic dreams. The growth and development of our teachers is crucial to the long-term success of the organization. Teacher Trainers, all of whom are experienced C2 teachers themselves, are responsible for providing in-person and online training, instructional tools, and development opportunities to teachers. Trainers will work closely with local teachers and field leaders to ensure that centers provide high quality academic support and instruction to our students and their families.



 

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver online and in-person training at the local, regional, or national level in order to further develop teachers in four key areas:
    • Teaching skills
    • Program knowledge
    • Academic expertise (including college admissions counseling)
    • Center support abilities
  • Develop content and tools for use in training teachers
  • Conduct meetings to provide academic guidance and support to Center Directors, District Managers, and teachers
  • Partner with local leaders and HR Business Partners to create and support development plans for teachers
  • Create and promote the use of academic and instructional tools to help teachers more easily and effectively prepare for and teach their classes
  • Review student progress, observe classes, and provide teaching and planning feedback to teachers and their managers

 

Skills or Experience:

  • Identify local training needs and build high-quality online and in-person training courses and events
  • Builds training tools and content tailored to the local needs of teachers
  • Builds academic and instructional tools that help teachers work with their students effectively
  • Effectively communicates to motivate and engage learners
  • Engaging presenter and skilled facilitator
  • Creative problem solver
  • Has experience providing guidance to students on the college admissions process
  • Able to connect with and adapt to the needs of people from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Understands and applies the C2 Way of Teaching
  • Desires to grow professionally and continually builds knowledge and skills
