    The Human Resources Business partner is a critical role that supports our 56 Centers in the northeast (mostly NJ, CT, and Long Island. Also centers in Chicago). In the role you will partner closely with the Regional Vice-President for the Northeast, helping to manage and grow our human capital in the region. The strategic goal is to help develop and grow our human capital, with associated impact on development, culture, and purpose.

     

    As with any multi-unit, the week to week focus will involve associate relations, recruiting, training etc. The Business Partner will have functional support from C2 Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition teams. Frequent travel is expected, with most being daily travel to centers in the region. Occasional overnight travel will be required to Chicago or to the C2 Educator Support Center in Atlanta.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage all HR related needs in the region
    • Partner with field leadership team in region to develop and implement effective human resource programs, policies and initiatives designed to sustain a positive work environment.
    • Proactively identify associate engagement opportunities to improve and enhance the work environment and takes initiative in developing and implementing appropriate action plans. Lead initiatives with assigned center and district leadership on complex associate issues (i. e. labor distribution, scheduling, advocacy concerns, investigations, progressive discipline, harassment or discrimination allegations and workplace violence situations).
    • Lead the execution of special projects and human resource initiatives. Including organizational development strategies e. g. change management, leadership development, conflict resolution, succession planning, etc.
    • Update and maintain people metrics for your region
    • Collaborative with full HR team on development of new HR practices
    • Design and execute other projects as required

     

    Qualifications

    • Multi-unit HR field experience – minimum of 50 locations supported
    • Demonstrated partnership with client field leadership
    • Strong direct experience with associate relations
    • Experience collaborating with functional support teams to develop national programs and implement them regionally
    • Strong relationship management
    • Strong balance of associate advocacy with company values and policies
    • Ability to make sound independent judgements
    • Heavy organizational skills
    • Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and state and federal employment law.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP certified
    • Strong Microsoft and Google productivity tools experience
    • 4 – 7 years total HR generalist/business partner experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Occasional overnight travel and daily travel to centers as required
    • “On Call” availability – ability to work extended days and weekends on occasion, which includes prompt response to communications
